Border City Roots "Fireside" Radio Hour Christmas Eve on CJAM!

Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings from back down here at the farm in Southern Ontario... things here on www.allisonbrown.ca have been a little quiet lately... I'm working on a whole new redesign of the website for 2020, so stay tuned... if you're on my Newsletter list, you may need to re-sign up when I launch the new site, I'll keep you posted.

Although I'm no longer hosting a regular program on CJAM, they've given me the best holiday gift of two hours of radio time for my annual "Fireside" Christmas Radio Hour! I'll be broadcasting live from my secret snow-covered in the woods on Christmas Eve, December 24th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (Two Hours) on CJAM 99.1fm www.cjam.ca.
Hope you can join me by the Fireside on Christmas Eve through the magic of radio!
Merry merry and all the best to 2020!

New Chapter Begins...

September is here and change is in the air... writing from here in Kitchener where I'll be carving out a new chapter looking for work, scaling back on music but will have the occasional performance around the local area... said farewell to Border City Roots on CJAM at the conclusion of the summer and a bittersweet send-off to Merle my Supervan.  Will miss Windsor/Essex but looking forward to new adventures!
Coming up on Sunday, September 15th, I'm teaming up with Sara Rose Hebert  for a backyard house concert in Kitchener... email allison@allisonbrown.ca for location information!

Stay tuned for a refresh here on allisonbrown.ca - new photos and more information coming in the next few weeks!
Keep me posted on work and places to live in the Kitchener area!

Last Chance To Dance...

Last half of July came and went quickly with visits to Kitchener and London, including great times with Dan Belgue and Northland Rail Service, Home County weekend, and more!  Had a few bumps in the road with the theft of my purse and tremendous thanks to those who chipped in on a short go-fund me to help with expenses.  Feeling the love!
Coming up August 2nd and 3rd I'm headed over to Pelee Island for the Unplugged Music Festival, where I'll be hanging out and joining in on Ron Leary's songwriters' circle. Excited to see Daniel Romano and Suzie Vinnick as part of the stellar lineup!

I'm camping for a week on the island before I hop over to Kingsville to do some stage hosting at the Kingsville Folk Music Festival! August 9th-11th, lineup includes favourites Danny Michel and yes - The Milk Carton Kids!

Last Chance To Dance! I only have four more gigs until the end of the summer when I'll be taking a huge break from performing to focus on work searching in Kitchener as I take a bold step into a new chapter.  Catch me while you can!

Friday, August 9th - Pelee Island Winery Pavilion with The Assembly Line, 4 to 8pm, then 8pm to 10pm for the Jet Express event!
Friday, August 23rd - Pelee Island Winery Pavilion with Karen Morand, 3:00pm to 7:00pm
Saturday, August 24th - Pelee Island Stone & Sky Quarry Series
Sunday, August 25th - Art By The River, Amherstburg, 3:30 to 4:30 near the ice cream!
See you on Pelee Island!!
